Questions of the weekend

Well it finally happened! Michael and I got sick... Michael got sick earlier in the week but bounced back fast! Everyone around me was sick so I knew it was coming. Friday I felt good in the morning so I danced. We had a dance company come and teach two master classes and it felt good dancing. Then around 8pm it hit! Friday night I could not sleep because my body ached all over and same with Saturday night. Instead of sleeping at night my sleep habits have changed to sleeping all day. I also started getting a sore throat on Saturday. If you know me you understand that I don't handle pain very well... Michael started to understand that if I can't even handle a little flu bug how am I going to be able to handle being pregnant? (No we are not pregnant!) I guess we will handle life one day at a time and I will just have to get over being sick before we can start thinking about having babies!! Now the second question of the weekend is what should I eat... I haven't had a sore throat since 4th grade... I can't even swallow water so what can I eat? I'm hungry!

Love Bugs Love Each Other!

Story time!! After having a wonderful wedding day on December 18, 2009 Michael and I had a reception the following foggy night in Bakersfield. It was a wonderful reception full of friends and family giving us love and support. At most receptions it is tradition for the wedding party to decorate to car, so was the case with our wedding. The "big" kids went out and wrote all over the car, put toilet paper in the car, and made a poster with permanent marker. For Emily and Rachel it looked like fun! So, after everyone went back in they went out and picked up a marker and went to work! When they noticed that the marker wasn't coming off they got nervous and ran in to Michael and my mom. I saw that both Emily and Rachel were crying so I naturally asked what was wrong. No one would wouldn't tell me what was going on because "it was a worldly thing to worry about" haha! So after the reception I finally saw the writing on the car!

If this ever happens to you a little nail polish did the trick of taking it off! With a little help from a drive through car was... about 3 times!

For our anniversary Michaels Mom sent us a love bug book a love bug pillow pet!

On a side note: Friday night a few of my girlfriends and I got together and made these adorable apple cupcakes!

Newlyweds!

Last night Michael and I went to our ward Valentines party. It was very romantic and fun to fall back into love with Michael, not that we ever fell out of it!! We played a game of Newlyweds! We played with the couples sitting at the our table and we were selected to go onto the final round! We played it just like the Newlywed game. There were 6 couples and Michael and I won!!! We know each other soooo well!!! It is awesome!!! We get to celebrate 1 year and 2 months of marriage with our 25 dollar gift card to Applebees! So now we are going to buy the game so we can have other couples over so we can show off our love and connection!

See! We are so awesome!!

Change is in the air!

Michael is soooo awesome!!!!

3 Weeks ago Michael was asked to interview for the position of Quality Production Supervisor. He went to a few interviews during the last few weeks and did really well. The other 2 guys asked to interview were really good guys and were just as qualified for this position as Michael. On Wednesday Michael got the call that we were not expecting for another 2 weeks if he even got the position. HE GOT THE JOB!! Im so proud of my Michael! He will be the supervisor of the 2 Idaho Falls plants along with the Rexburg, Tennessee, and China!! Yes, He will be going to Tennessee every 4 months and maybe China once a year... no, I probably will not go with him. He is such a wonderful leader and communicator! We have been so blessed with Michaels job at Melelauca! Heavenly Father really watches out for His children.

We are really excited to know we have a future! Michael and I are planning on moving to Idaho Falls in July after graduation. We started looking for apartments today!

Michael received points at work that the he could cash in to get something cool so this week Michael got his new fly fishing gear!!

HAHA! Michael is ready to go catch some fish right now!!

How to stay warm when it is -20

Well, I have been waiting to blog about my new invention for some time now. This will change your life!!!!!!

Today it got down to -20!! Now, for those of you who have never been in this kind of weather let me explain what it is like... First off any part of your body that isn't covered burns! Weird, I know! Your nose hairs freeze... embarrassing to talk about... I know, but it is true! Your snot freezes too! Then the rest of the day it has to defrost causing you to have a runny nose all day! Every time you inhale your lungs hurt so bad you have to cough causing you to take slow shallow breaths. NEVER go outside with your hair wet... it may break off... ok, I really don't know if that will is true... maybe I could send that myth in to Mythbusters!

So here is my awesome idea how to keep warm!

First, find a nice place to lay down! I use my couch because I sleep there all day until Michael comes home then I move to my bed. (not really, I just wish I could lay down all day)

Second, get a little heater... this has been the greatest purchase in our marriage!

Third, get your nicest/warmest blanket... this blanket was a nice wedding gift!

Fourth and final step is to lay down, put the blanket over you, lift the blanket up and let the heat flow into your little cave. (yes, I took the picture by myself... cheesy I know, but Michael is never home when I blog.) You can trap the warm air in the blanket causing you to stay nice and toasty on those cold winter days!

You may use my idea... I am sure someone has though of it before me but it has saved me!! Michael uses my idea all the time now!

My Love!

I just want to express my need for Michael... I know that I blog about him a lot but he is all I ever think about!

It has been kind of a rough start to a week. Monday was that last day of the month which means month end. Michael had to work a 12 hour shift. I have been through the month end drill before so I figured it would be the same as the past experiences (quick and painless).

Well, Monday started off extra early. I had to be at class by 7 so I was up and going by 6. Michael and I said good by at 6:45. I was in a rush leaving and forgot my phone so at 10 Michael brought it to me while I was in class then he headed back to class then went to work at 1. I was finally done with school at 5 and spent the rest of the night missing my love. At 12ish Michael got home and I was out for the count. Around 2 Michael carried me to bed after doing homework and my day started again at 7. I needed the computer today so around 11 I saw Michael briefly (meaning .2 seconds) before he headed to work.

I hear all the time that there will be a point in your marriage that you will be grateful for vacations away from one another and at this point in my life I cant see how I could ever be grateful to be away from Michael. Besides being together when we sleep I have only seen Michael for about 30 minutes in the past 48 hours! I HATE IT! So as I sit here typing I keep switching form the blog page to our photo album of our engagement pictures. I keep getting teary eyed just thinking about how much I miss him.

My sister Rachael got on my case for not having pictures last time and I figure that some are better than none and even if you don't want to look at them I will find myself coming to my blog to look at them for myself!
