All we are missing is the Baby!

We have less than a week till her due date.
We have everything we will ever need:
Rocking Chair
Swings
Bouncers
Boppy pillows
Diapers
Pacifiers
Clothes to last till she is 2 years old
Burp-up rags... She is part Hunt so we made sure to stock up!
Car seat with a cover so annoying people wont poke her
Stroller
Pack-n-play to go on vacations
Wipes to last us an eternity... I know you people wont believe me but we have over 2,500 wipes. Im sure someone will tell me how I'll be amazed how fast they go but you have to admit that is a lot of wipes!!
A crib that is still in a box and will remain in the box till we move in 3 months...
Crib bedding
We are all packed for the hospital... Well, Michael was until he pulled all his clothes out to wear them today!!! I will have to pack him all over again!
We are pre-registered
The house is clean
The shopping is done
We have tons of blankets... She will never freeze in Idaho
We have carriers to go on hikes or to take her on fishing trips
And the list goes on and on and on....
The only thing we are missing is her!!!!!!!!

I have been so blessed to have an easy pregnancy. I am 39 weeks pregnant and I still feel like I can run a marathon... but I hate running so I wont be doing that and she is so high in my ribs I'm sure I would pass out within the first 30 seconds of running so lets say I could walk a marathon!

She is a wiggle worm and I am so excited to see her move. You would think that if you are that cramped in such a small place and like to move as much as she does you would like to come out sooner than later. But it is all up to her.

I keep getting advice like "enjoy your sleep now" but I'm not sleeping great anyways so you could say I am ready for her to come and keep me company at 3 in the morning.

Today Michael asked me a question about babies and I didn't know the answer. He then looked at me with a very serious face and said "What did you get us into? I thought you were an expert at babies! Now what are we going to do?" It was so funny. I am so excited for this little adventure to come and to learn how to be a mommy.

My only pet peeve lately is how everyone tells me the negative side of being a parent. We will never sleep again, they cry, they poop, they spit up, the recovery is hard, you loose your social life, and to them I say... Keep it to yourself! I was told pregnancy is hard but I learned for myself that I can handle it. I am ready to be a mom!

It really is starting to set in... AH! We are going to have a baby!!! It's scary and exciting!! Lets see what happens this week!

The new chair!

Michael is preparing now. He is cleaning his guns to scare any boys who want to date our daughter!

A Great Weekend!!

Michael and I had a great weekend! On Thursday we went to drop off our neighbors vacuum and ended up going shooting. It was a fun spur of the moment adventure.
Sarah and Stephen are a fun couple to live next door to. We can't wait till summer to see what other adventures we go on with them.
The place we went shooting was just up the street from us in an open field and are filled with windmills. You never notice how big they are until you are standing under one.
We sure do love our adventures!
On Friday my dad came up to Idaho to drop off all the baby shower gifts. We had a blast having him here. Friday night we went to Big Judds and enjoyed some yummy burgers and great conversations. On Saturday we went out to breakfast at Smitty's then we got busy! Our fist stop was the Army Surplus Store. We spent an hour and a half looking at all the old army gear. After that we went to look at Two Finger Knife Company.

A little back ground: Michael and my favorite TV show is Top Shot. We don't have cable so we watch it on Hulu every Thursday night. On Top Shot once a season they do a knife throwing competition and the knifes they use are from Two Finger Knife Company. It is a company out of this man's garage in Idaho!

We pulled up thinking we would just take a look at some tomahawks and throwing knives but we were in for so much more! We walked into his "store" and he went through the whole process of making his special knives. It was amazing. Then he showed my dad his options and said he wouldn't let us leave without instructions on how to throw the knives and tomahawks.

Here is my dad getting his lesson.
After a good half hour lesson he and my dad went in to do business and Michael and I got to play around with throwing.
On my second attempt I nailed it!! I listened closely to get the technique right.

2nd try!! I loved every second of this adventure!!
Coolest picture!! After my dad did business with Norm he went back to work and let us play around.
Michael is a pro at throwing the tomahawk!

and he is pretty good at throwing the knives too.
We then had to pick something up for my sister at the mall and my dad got a big kick out of this sign. I love the perks of being pregnant! Too bad I only have 3 weeks left... if that!
Later that night my dad bought us a vacuum!!!! We no longer have to borrow our neighbors... which we only did once... So in the 9 months of living here we have vacuumed 2 times... and the last time was because I am kinda nesting...

Then my dad and I went to Desseret Book store and enjoyed our time together while we waited for Ian and Erica to come down for dinner. We enjoyed a fun dinner catching up with them at Texas Road House.

We then had an hour to shop at Sportsman's Warehouse. Now that I think about it, this was a very manly weekend but I enjoyed every second of it!

We then colored Easter eggs and watched the Nuggets game.

It was so fun having my dad in town He is the best dad ever!!! I miss him already. Idaho has so much to offer but the most important thing missing is being close to my family. Thanks dad for such an awesome weekend!! I loved spending time with my men!

In honor of Easter and the resurrection of our Savior I want you to know that I have a testimony of Him. I know that he lives! I know that he atoned for our sins and our pains, the greatest gift ever given to man. I know that he arose from the dead on the third day breaking the bands of death, making it possible so that I can live again with my loved ones. I am so grateful for His perfect example. I know that when I fall short I can repent and turn to him to see how to improve my life. I love him with all my heart.
