The night before we left we had a huge work party at our house! There were 11 couples there with all their children! It was crazy! I am always up for a party but I think I was in a little over my head with this. I spent the whole day deep cleaning the house (I usually like to leave with a clean house but I never deep clean. This time my mom was coming home with us to drop Rachael off at school and she hadn't seen my house so I wanted it perfect) assuming the BBQ would be outside. When everyone started arriving through the backyard they made their way into the house and just hung out in the house with their kid running around. Once dinner started everyone was mostly outside until it started to rain and everyone moved back inside. Luckily they didn't stay longer than an hour after dinner was over.
After everyone left we started getting Olivia ready for bed. As we were reading Goodnight Moon she threw up again after a week of no throwing up. I was stressed up say the least. We cleaned everything up, got her to sleep, and I got to cleaning and packing.
Travel day finally arrived and we woke up bright and early. About 2 hours into our car ride Olivia threw up again and Michael was exhausted. I prayed for 2 hours straight that we would make it to California and not have to turn back. My prayers were answered and a calming peace filled the car after we stopped to changed Olivia's diaper. We did the whole trip in one day. 16+ hours in driving! Wooh! We are all very sick of the car!
Our first day in California we went to church in Bakersfield then drove to my grandmas and grandpas house for dinner.
How perfect that we got to spend grandparents day with them!! I love spending time with my grandparents. Olivia loved roaming around their house and their backyard. It is so hard living so far away from them.
Sunday night after visiting with my Grandma and Grandpa Hunt we drove down the street to my Grandpa Hansens house. It was fun hanging out with my Grandpa and Uncle Eric and Aunt Marisol. We had a lot of catching up to do. My cousin CJ has been serving in the Philippines for our church. She is an awesome example of putting faith in The Lord during hard times.
That night was a long night. Olivia cried all night. Our poor sweet girl was not feeling well at all and in a new place with new sounds she may have been a little scared and she let us know. But because she wasn't feeling well we had a special experience. My grandpa and Michael gave Olivia a blessing. I'm so grateful for the men in my life who live a worthy life to hold the priesthood. I love them so much!
On Monday morning we woke up and said our goodbyes and headed to Disneyland!
This picture may be my favorite picture from our trip. This picture was all my grandpas idea!
We picked the perfect day to be at Disneyland. I was really heasitent about this whole Disneyland trip. I was worried about keeping Olivia entertained while we waited in long lines, it's not a great place for a nap, she was still on a very strict 'BRAT' diet, I was worried if she would like the rides, and it's going to be a very long day. Lucky I didn't have to worry too much.
Michael was such a cute dad this whole day. It melted my heart. The second after we walked into the park Michael was pointing everything out to Olivia and they were in their own world. We followed them around looking at everything.

Our first ride was dumbo and Olivia loved watching the ride go round and round... Until we got on then she didn't think it was so cool. She whimpered the whole ride and that was how she acted on every ride.
I wish we could have seen more princesses but at least we saw Merida.
Sometime after 2 Olivia crashed and slept for a few hours and woke up not very happy but after walking around we made it till closing and saw the parade as we were walking out.
On the way home we had to stop for some yummy In-N-Out! And Michael threw a katchup packet on Rachael's car!
On Wednesday my mom set up an appointment for me to get my hair done. I had no intensions of cutting my hair until April. The time came and she asked what I wanted to do for the cut and I said cut it off!!
I LOVE my hair! It's so me! I feel like myself again. Long hair was fun but I felt it lacked my personality. I wanted to wait till April to cut my hair, after I get rid of my baby "fat" but I'm glad I didn't wait. I'm so happy with my cut.
I just love finding pictures of these two on my phone!
Wednesday night we all went our to dinner and frozen yogurt. It was thei first time we were all together and it was so much fun! I really love my family with all my heart! I have been so blessed!
We all get along so well now and I really wish we loves closer so we could spend lots and lots of time together.
We woke up early Thursday morning and said our goodbyes. It was sad to leave our short trip but I'm grateful Michael made it happen!
It was a long day of driving. On Tuesday Olivia got a bad case of diaper rash because of her bad diarrhea. So, we made 7 or 8 stops to change dirty diapers which slowed us down a lot. We were also caravaning with my mom and sister. Rachael was coming back to Idaho for school and my mom was coming to help her and play a little more with Olivia. This picture is from our last stop. We are so grateful for the Idaho falls library DVD rentals. They saved us from a lot of crying and boredom.

We had a wonderful trip and it ended way too soon. I had so many things I didn't get to do but I'm glad I saw my family. This year we won't be able to make it home for Christmas since we have to stay in Idaho for our (hopefully early) Christmas present. So this was the last chance to get everyone together for a while. I am so blessed with a wonderful family.
