"I'm Boss"

I know this is three posts in one day but this was too funny not to post...

This last week has been crazy for my mom. She has been doing my best friend Allie's bridal shower and when she takes on a project she really goes all out. Well, it is an hour drive through the Grape Vine to get to Allie's house where the shower was being held and my mom had been staying up really late. After two trips down and back with no sleep my mom started acting weird so my sister Rachael told my mom to pull over and she was going to drive home (she was nervous, she has never driven on a major freeway). After Rachael finished telling me the life or death story she declared "Don't worry, I took one for the team! I know, I'm Boss!" I just laughed! I love my sister! She is probably the funniest person you will ever meet! And you should meet her!

Played in my first softball game!

Mentioned in a previous post Michael signed me up for his work's softball tournament. Well it was this weekend. It was my first experience to a real sports game... other than young women's basketball games and high school P.E. which is a joke anyways. We practiced on Thursday night and it eased my stress. Then the game on friday started at 6:00. The captain asked me what position I would like to play and I responded the one with the least amount of action then guess what position he gave me.... CATCHER! Ugh... I was about to throw up before the game because I was so nervous. Don't worry, I made it to first base and home every time! As catcher I was awesome at throwing the ball back to Michael's boss the pitcher.

Before the game started

Michael's boss' boss running to first base

Michael was a little nervous and annoyed since the umpire was a little rude.

Thanks Caleb for the mit
getting ready to knock it out of the park

Look at the technique of that swing... yeah

MMMMM!!! After the game we went to... Duh! 5 Guys!

All gone!

I am thinking about applying to work here... it is right across the street from our home.

On another note Michael and I went to a dance performance this weekend. I just want to say how proud I am of Michael. He can now hold a 15 minute intelligent conversation about a dance piece. He can say why the dance was successful and why it wasn't. I am so proud of him!!! After the show we got custard! yumm!

Happy Fathers Day!

Well, I saw my friend do a Fathers Day post and I thought I would honor my father as well.
A little about my dad, he is awesome! He has climbed Mt. Whitney over 20 times. He is dedicated to Scouting. He ALWAYS takes care of his family. He knows so much about rocks and mountains which is pretty cool. He loves being outside which he has passed on to me. He is super quiet but once you get to know him he is one of the funniest people you will ever meet. He served the Lord in Germany back in the day when a mission for the church was a year and a half instead of two years. Funny fact about him when he get exited he bites his tongue and so does my Grandpa Hunt and me! Like father like son like daughter :) He is brave, smart, strong, loving, kind, and I have to say funny again! I love my Dad! It has been an honor to be his little girl! Happy Fathers day Daddy!

So this is a week late but the internet wouldn't upload my picture.

Birthday Weekend!

Last Friday I turned 22! It was an awesome day. It started out bright and early at 6:30 and believe it or not I was happy to be awake! I went to my favorite classes Modern 440 and Senior Capstone. Then I went to Idaho Falls for lunch with Michael... Side note: Michael got into the car and greeted me by saying "hello teammate" which wasn't unusual for him to come up with clever nick names. Then he started saying that he was my actual teammate but I was focused on my cell phone replying to my birthday texts... then I heard the words softball team and he got my attention. Apparently Michael signed me up to be on his work's softball team with his BOSS!! Ok... I am a dancer! I do not play sports with balls... I just hope I don't lose his job because I can not play softball! We then made our way to my favorite restaurant that was mentioned in the post before... we will be living approximately 300 steps away form 5 Guys Burgers!
A little bit about my relationship with 5 Guys Burgers... I went 3-4 times last month!! That is our relationship... its pretty strong!

Anyways... We walked in to order our food when this nice old man greeted us (he was the owner of the franchise). He asked how my day was going and I informed him with a great big smile that it was great because it was my birthday and I was at my favorite restaurant. He smiled back at me and wished me a happy birthday. When we went to pay he gave us our meal for free!!! It was awesome!

I'm in heaven!
I could totally eat it every day!

What is better than Idaho potatoes and fry sauce?

We then went to the mall and Michael bought me this purse that I have been wanting for a while and a matching wallet. I love them!!
I painted my nails leopard... I am getting pretty good at painting my nails

Isn't he the cutest baby you have ever seen!! I absolutely LOVE my nephew Spencer! Michael may be getting a little jealous of him since Michael's picture was replaced on my phone with this cute picture

Michael and I went to the Rexburg Farmers Market after he got home from work.

I ran into my good friend Mary at the farmers market! She is AWESOME!
Yummy Yummy Philippine food!!

Freshly squeezed lemonade and honey sticks

We went on our typical dates to WalMart

This is my clean car and my wonderful husband!
This is a blurry picture of the Tetons but I think the tall one looks like Mt Crumpet from the Grinch.

I spy with my little eye the Rexburg Temple. Can you see it?

Our trip to the sand dunes to watch the sunset.

Doesn't it look like a Honda CRV commercial

I am in a bakery class at school and some days I can't stand it because it is so stressful but then after class I LOVE IT!!! Why you ask? Because, I leave class with Fresh Filled Apple Pies! I think if I was making this at home it wouldn't have been so stressful fighting over the flour, shortening, and sugar.

Kinda big news!

Let me start of by saying how disappointed I am that all the cool pictures didn't upload... so use your imaginations on this one. Or not read it... either way works... I still just got excited that you came to my blog and increase the numbers on my statistics I look at daily haha

So, today I got new tires on my car for my birthday which is on Friday!! I am now safe to drive anywhere I want. I love my new birthday gift...

Ok, so its not that exciting but we do have some exciting news! We are going to put an offer to rent a cute townhome in Idaho Falls!!

It is in a prime and safe location right next to... drum roll please.... TARGET, the mall, Kohl's, Wal-Mart, and 5 Guys Burgers!!!!!! It takes Michael 8 minutes to drive to work and it is brand spankin' new.

As mentioned before, I am ready to be done with school and the following day it hit Michael. He is now ready to be done with school too. So, we are already planning our get away... to Idaho Falls... I know anti-clamatic. But we are excited for something new! Yes, Michael already works full time in Idaho Falls for Melaleuca and no, I have NO idea what I want to do. Although if you ask Michael he will tell you the profession of MY choice would be to sleep in till noon every day (not true), but my profession of HIS choice would be to work at the local golf courses, any fishing store, or Sportsman's Warehouse.

I have had it!

It is official, school pushed me over my limits today. I am done! I quit!!! I enjoy learning but I have had it with everything! I am going to vent and hope I can get everything out of my system so I can make it thorough the next 8 weeks.
Things that bug me about school: (I am leaving these statements open because I am still bitterly dwelling on them.)

1. When you study study study and know everything then forget everything on the test... Annoying!
2. When everyone else does awesome on that test and you feel like an idiot for failing...
3. When students ask the dumbest questions, or the same question the person before them asked because they weren't paying attention, and when students ask questions that don't have anything to do with what we are learning about... (We were learning about bonds in class and some girl started asking questions about food storage... ugh)
4. When you have to do busy work so the teacher can have something to grade you on.
5. When you forget to put your name on a homework assignment that you got a really bad grade on then you have to face your teacher to put your name on it to get credit... Awkward
6. When you have to take a test you know nothing about.
7. Not having enough time in the day to accomplish the mounds of homework you have... I just don't do it now.

Ok, Ok, enough of me complaining about school. I really do love it. I was walking across campus today (in a really bad mood) thinking how much I really do love school. I am going to miss it so much. I have been going to school for the past 19 years of my life! What and I going to do when I can't learn about dance, or families, or cooking, or sewing, or managing a home? (Yes, those are the classes I take. NO, they are not easy so don't even think that they are!!!) I am grateful for the last 4 years I have spent learning here at Brigham Young University Idaho. Yes, not every day is easy and today definitely was not my day but there isn't a day that passes that I don't learn something that I will need to know in the future. So if you made it through this long post thank you for listening to me. If you just looked at this post hoping for some pictures you are out of luck. As for me, I am going to take a test that I didn't study for because I decided to blog... What's new?
