5 months

Time went at a normal pace once I had Olivia, it may have even been on the slow side at times but once Walter joined our family time won't slow down! Now that it is almost summer we have been out and about and playing with friends and enjoying life out of the house.

So just like Walt's 4 month post this is more like a 5 and a half month post. My little man is so calm. I love holding him and looking into his eyes. There is a calmness that brings me so much peace.  He really is such an easy baby. He loves to be held and absolutely hates when I walk away from him.

We went to California a few weeks ago and Walt was really sick. We took him to the doctors when we got back because he cried for 8 hours and nothing I did would calm him down. In the morning his ear was draining fluid and I knew that he had a pretty bad ear infection. Turns out he had a hole in his ear drum from all the pressure and the doctor said he must of had bronchitis while we were in California. He was such a trooper. He never cried and was always smiling.

We are working on sitting up right now. His head is so big that he has a hard time sitting straight up for more than a few seconds. He can scoot in a circle and rolls all over. He is getting good at grabbing toys and can grab his bink and put it in his mouth, now if only he could find it at night in his crib and fall back to sleep.

Walt loves loves loves Olivia. He could watch her all day. She has made him laugh a few times and she loved giving him kisses and saying "ahh boo!" When she sees him then tickles his feet.

Walt has such a sweet laugh but makes me work for it. He is ticklish but has to be in the mood. He loved his feet. He is always grabbing them.

We are working on sleeping. He only takes 15 minute naps unless he is in his baby carrier strapped to me or I am cuddling him when I take my nap. He goes to bed around 8 and wakes up a lot until 8, so I am really tired right now. We have been so busy with little trips and being sick so he keeps getting his sleep schedule all messed up. Hopefully we can figure it out soon.

Walt is a big boy. He is wearing 9 month clothes. I bought his some cute 6 month onzies when he was 3 months thinking he would wear then this summer but he fit into them at 3 months and now they are a little small. Olivia is still wearing clothes that I got at her baby shower. I was so blessed to get so many clothes for her and to have so many people care and support us but Walt didn't get much (which is totally fine! I'm not complaining. I am so so so grateful for my friend and the baby shower she gave me and all my friends that came) but Walt doesn't have any more clothes so I just bought him a bunch of clothes for 9 months. I'm excited for them to come in the mail! This kid is growing fast!

I started feeding him baby food and he loves it! He gets frustrated when I stop feeding him. He is really good at getting it down and not making messes. I'll start veggies next and I'm excited to see his reaction.

There is really something special about a mother son relationship. I love him so much! I'm so blessed to be his mommy. He brings so much joy into my life.

Walt's room

We started Walt's room when we switched Olivia into her big girl bed. I had so many ideas and every day they changed. One day we were at target and there was this cute bedding on sale and I couldn't pass it up!

I love standing in the hall looking into both of their finished rooms.

Four months

Walter is really 4 1/2 months but life was a little crazy so in doing this now.

If I should have learned anything Olivia's first year of life it was not to brag!!!! I obviously forgot that and started bragging like all moms do. Walter never cried... Well now he cries any time I put him down. This makes life a little hard but the second time mom in me doesn't stress as much as I would with Olivia. Being the second child he has to be put down a lot. Poor kid, all he wants is to be held by his mommy. As of yesterday things have gotten a lot better. He can officially took over now! He is so quick to learn things. She started thinking about it on Sunday and by Wednesday he was doing it like a pro. He is a lot happier when I put him down now and Olivia likes to play with him more. How did my newborn start rolling over so fast!!? Isn't it still December!?

Walt loves sitting up and looking around.

Life with two kids is busy and I never finished this post. Now I can't remember what was 4 month stuff and 5 month stuff so I'll leave it at that.
