11 months
Baby girl will be a year old next month! What!? I will have a one year old! Where has the time gone?
Olivia is the greatest blessing to Michael and me. She fills our home with so much joy and energy. She is a nonstop ball of fire! She always makes us laugh at the little things she does. We are so happy to be her parents.
Some fun facts:
Olivia loves to eat... When she is in the mood. One meal she will eat anything you give her. The next meal she will refuse the same things you fed her before and act like it is the worst thing she has ever tasted. Some foods she will never say no to: any flavor of puffs, chocolate milk (we may have created a chocolate milk addict), pizza (the daddy fed it to her when I wasn't home and she ate more than he did! She is her fathers daughter. I wouldn't eat pizza or chocolate milk if someone paid me), cheese (again, eww!), and all fruits. I know, she doesn't have a well balanced diet, I'm working on it.
She started walking a month and a half ago and is still working on it. It's hard because we don't have much space in our apartment so there is no need to walk when she can crawl two feet and get what she wants. We play walking games every day and she loves when we make a big deal about it.
Olivia loves clapping and it is the cutest thing! When she does something right we always make a big deal and clap.
She is learning how to use a spoon to feed herself. We started letting her feed herself this week and she has been doing really well with it. She makes a big mess but manages to get some food in her mouth.
Olivia is looking like she will be a lefty just like Opa! A blue eyed lefty just like him and he is so excited! I'm sure this could change as she gets older but she definitely does everything with her left right now.
She still loves to read books. It is so cute watching her in the car holding her book up to her face while we drive around town. Her new thing is to lay on her back and hold the book in the air and read.
This girl can talk! She babbles for hours and is starting to get more expressive when we are out and about. She use to get really shy when we weren't at home. Most of her babbling sounds like words and responses to our questions but that may just be my imagination.
When she plays she likes to put things into boxes and take them out.
Today Olivia held her baby doll like it was a real baby and took care of it and gave it kisses... Melted my heart! (I think she would love more baby dolls for her birthday ;) )
She can watch a movie for 20 minutes! That is enough time for me to get a shower! I throw her in her crib and put a movie in the laptop and I have time to get ready!
She loves shutting doors. It keeps her busy for a long time. She has only pinched her fingers once and knows how to avoid it now.
She likes to pretend she is talking on the phone! It is adorable! And she loves to help us brush out teeth.
Speaking of teeth!! 4 days before she turned 11 months she got her first two bottom teeth ! I thought she was going to be my toothles's baby forever! It is sad and so exciting to see those teeth. She is really growing up fast.
I love being her mommy! I am so blessed!
Today has been an exciting one. My sister in law Lizzy had her second baby today, Charlotte Elizabeth. Olivia is excited to have a girl cousin so close in age to her. Exactly 11 months apart. Also, Michael's brother Daniel hit his year mark on his mission in Hermasillo Mexico today. This time next year Olivia will get to meet her uncle!

Big changes in the Woolley HOUSE!!!!!
If you asked me 2 months ago if I saw myself living in Idaho for another month I may have started bawling and told you how I wanted to move to Colorado or California ASAP! I wanted more than anything to be closer to family. I hate that everyone is missing Olivia growing up. Skype is great but it isn't the same as watching Olivia in person making funny sounds, learning to crawl then walk, and the all the other absolutely wonderful things she does.
Don't get me wrong... I still dream of the day when I can walk down the street to grandmas house (in California or Colorado) but there has been a turn of events in our lives.
In January Michael and I were desperately trying to find a way out of Idaho and a way into Colorado. Michael would apply for jobs on line everyday after work. We started to hear back from a few and Michael even flew out to Colorado to interview for a job. The week before Michael flew to Colorado he was offered a promotion at Melaleuca. We spend the next week writing out the pros and cons for all the jobs and praying and praying and praying for an answer. When Michael got back from Colorado... Before Michael even got to Colorado it was pretty obvious that we would be staying in Idaho.
The Lord works on our side and even though I am not living by family right now he has given me so much peace with staying here in Idaho.
We decided we had enough of apartment living and if we will be here for at least another 5 years we may as well be in a home of our own!
We found the perfect home for us and are so excited to move in when it is finished!
The home was custom built for a woman who wasn't able to commit and we lucked out with getting it for a great price. We are in an awesome neighborhood. Everyone we talk to always goes on and on about how great the neighborhood is and the builders all live around the corner from us so it must be good. We will live across the street from a friend of Michael's and my good friend lives behind us. We are 2 miles from where we lived a few years ago which means we are close to the mall, movie theater, all restaurants, and Target! We have a park close by and great schools all around.
If I have to be far away from family right now this is where I would want to be. Heavenly Father has blessed us once again and we feel so lucky!
If you are ever in Idaho and need a place to stay we have a large finished basement you can stay in! I would offer you our guest bedroom but hopefully it will be occupied with grandparents!! ;)
Oh! We are on almost half an acre so our backyard is huge!! This summer is going to be so much fun!!!
