4th of July

We had a great 4th of July weekend! We headed to Mammoth on Thursday afternoon and on our way up my dad caught up with us on his way to Lone Pine. He hiked MT. Whitney for the 25th time!! We wished him luck and gave him kisses and sent him on his way and we continued on to Mammoth.
We had a great weekend with family! I love being so close to my family! Olivia loves playing with "Auntie Emalee" and they love Uncle Austin!
On the 4th we went to the Mammoth Lakes parade and Olivia collected some candy and saw lots of horsies! She loved it and all Walt wanted was a sucker like his sister but the parade people were not super generous with their candy tossing so Walt never got one.

This picture makes my heart so happy! I'm so grateful we get to see my parents so often!
Grandma Woolley made Olivia the perfect 4th of July skirt! She looked so cute walking around with her flowers in her patriotic skirt!
Walt was totally digging the yummy grub! He couldn't get enough chips and dip!!
We BBQed and warped everything in foil and took it to Bridgeport for a picnic and firework show.

It rained all afternoon and cleared up just in time for our picnic and the firework show. It was a great 4th of July but something felt weird, Michael and I think it was because we weren't in Idaho. This was our first 4th of July in 8 years that we didn't spend it in Idaho. It had a different feel but was so great to be spending it with family.
Olivia took this picture of the rainbow at our picnic! She is getting good at taking iPhone photos!
Emily made us go to this haunted hotel that had this cute phone booth next to it. I watched a tv show about this haunted hotel when I was little and it gave me nightmares for days. I wasn't excited to go relive my childhood nightmares! Luckly it is a cute resturant and didn't have a spooky feel to it.

Olivia wasn't a fan of the fireworks for the first half of the show but after she warmed up she watched the end and has talked about them every day since. Walt oohed and awed until he passed out. It was a great day!
